Here are some of the images of my friend's niece that we took when we were taking a film class at Chandler-Gilbert Community College. I love seeing all the images like this on a contact sheet. (Contact sheets are fun to make. After you process your negatives, you cut them up and place them in a plastic sleeve and then lay the sleeve under flat glass, with film paper underneath it. Then you expose it to light and put it in the photo chemicals to see what you have in positive form.)
I also just love how simple these images are. We just were really bored and walked down to the park near my friend's house. I love how these are just moments caught in time of a very ordinary winter day. Ordinary with one exception! Becky had just made that little tutu for Celeste. Nowadays tutus for babies and girls are kind of common. You can buy them at Target. But a few years ago, when we took these photos, there was nowhere you could buy tutus.
