Here are some of my film photos that I took at the Arizona State Fair back in October. Just looking at these images makes me want cotton candy and fry bread.
I didn't think these would actually turn out. I actually kept not picking up the film because I figured they hadn't turned out, since I didn't have a light meter and I was just guessing and trying different shutter speeds and f-stops with 800 speed Kodak portra film. But they did turn out! I love the square shapes that the medium format camera makes.
I bought the film a couple years ago and still have a whole box of it, so now I can't wait to go out and do more shoots with it. The film scans I got back had scratches on them...but the film never was handled; it had just been in a box for a couple years. I will have to figure out why; I hope it doesn't have to do with the camera, but I bet it might. Or possibly with the way I threaded the film. Who knows?! But I am going to keep shooting it.
