When I was 8 or 9 years old, we went to California and I got sick. It seemed like I threw up orange juice all day long until I finally felt better. By then I had missed out on the trip to Knott's Berry Farm that I had been really, REALLY looking forward to. Consequently, I didn't---couldn't----eat oranges until about 10 years later. I felt like I rediscovered them one Christmas, when I started making orange juice for all of us all Christmas vacation long from the trees in the backyard.
Anyways, I am going to California tomorrow. For a convention for my work, but believe you me I will be getting a lot of fun stuff in there too, even if I have to stay up all night and wake up super early to do it. I'm a little nervous. I tried to soooo hard to save money for it, but....well I think I am going to be entertaining myself with free stuff. That's okay, San Diego is so pretty to look at and I'm bringing my camera, so I'm not complaining, but oh man I can think up a billion things to do when I know about something months in advance and I start looking up stuff on the internet everyday.
I went to the convention last year and here are some postcards that I bought at a coffeehouse/bookstore in the area near the convention center. They are all advertisements for oranges, made a long time ago, and I think they are absolutely gorgeous.

I bet I know which of those pictures you like the best... :)
